Group Tours
Individual tourists and smaller groups of less than three persons shall be subject to surcharge, over and above the minimum daily rates applicable, as follows;
Single Person: USD$ 40 per person per night, Group of 2 people: $ 27 per person per night.
The 14% agency commission payable to agent abroad shall not be deductible from the surcharge. The surcharge will not be applicable to representatives of foreign travels agents on business study or promotional visit duly approved and cleared by TCB.
There shall be no charge for CHILDREN up to the age of 5years. However , those between the ages of 6-12 years accompanied by elders/guardians shall be given 55% discount on daily rates and 100% discount on royalty.
Full time students below the age of 25 years holding valid identity cards from their academic institutions shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 17 persons.
A discount of 55% on daily rates shall be given to one person in a group of 12 to 16 people. 100% discount shall be given to one member in a group exceeding 17 persons. 50% discount on Royalty shall be provided after the 8th night and 100% discount on Royalty shall be provided after 14th.
Visitors availing discounts under sections A,B,C, shall not be eligible for discount under E.
Tour Payment
As per standing regulation of Tourism Council of Bhutan (Royal Government of Bhutan), all tour payments must be settled prior to the commencement of the tour. Visa applications are only process and endorsed upon the credit of your tour payment in Tourism Council of Bhutan bank account.
Wire Transfer
Prior to your trip to Bhutan, you will be asked to wire the full payment for your holiday to the Tourism Council of Bhutan.
You must wire the tour payment calculated by BTIT as well as USD 40 (one-time visa fee) to the Bhutan National Bank through one of their certified intermediary banks, with the BTIT specified as the ultimate beneficiary.
BTIT will require a copy of the bank wire transfer receipt in order to process your visa
Financial Security:
Tour payments transferred by travelers to BTIT are directly credited to the account of the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) and are only released to BTIT only after successful completion of your tour, thus ensuring there is complete security of your tour payment, which remains in the safe hands of the Royal Government until successful completion of your tour.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Tour programs booked and subsequently cancelled shall be subject to cancellation charges as follows:
- Within 40 days and more 90 % refund
- Within 27 days 60 % refund
- Within 20 days 30% refund
- Within 14 days 20% refund
- Within 7 days 100 % cancellation fee
